Pet Urgent Care at Tolo Veterinary Clinic
Urgent Care When Your Pet Needs It Most
The Difference Between Urgent Care and Emergency Care
Determining whether a situation is or isn’t an emergency is challenging during a crisis. The first thing to do is determine if your pet has suffered an injury that could be life-threatening or require hospitalization. If the situation is not life-threatening, we classify that as urgent care.
Symptoms Requiring Urgent Care
Common symptoms that require pet urgent care include but are not limited to:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Dehydration
- Changes in behavior
- Minor cuts or abrasions
- Urination in the house or outside the litter box
If you notice any of these symptoms, call us right away to determine the next steps in caring for your pet. We will help you approach the situation calmly and offer advice to keep your pet comfortable when you bring them to our clinic.
